Electronic Arts  has revealed it's controversial new policy to improve it's online community. Starting October 1st, any user banned from the EA online forum will be deported from the United States. EA says it's taking this step because it's the only way to ensure a positive family friendly environment for its players. "We at EA feel its our duty to protect our users from disruptive players who use profanity, attack other users, or say anything negative about EA or its policies. And thanks to a convenient loophole in the Patriot Act, we now have to power to do so." said EA spokeswoman Deborah Hammond.

Electronic Arts has stated that it will make certain of the users guilt before actually deporting them. Each case will be put through a rigorous 2 step process. First, a user must be reported to EA by an unpaid moderator who spends at least 10 hours a day in the forum. The second step is that the offending user is deported. One user ,Sarah Draper, a 24 year old coed who vistited the forums to get help in 'The Sims',  claims the process isn't entirely fair. "I got a private message from a moderator who asked me out after he found my MySpace page. I told him I had a boyfriend and the next thing I know, two government agents show up at my dorm and put me on a plane to Argentina. Even after I told them I was born in Ohio."

Some have called EA's policy extreme, noting that the majority of the gamers being deported, are US Citizens and also under the age of 15. But the majority of people asked, said they supported EA wholeheartedly. "I think its a great idea. Great. I love EA. I love America. Buy Red Alert 3. Please don't kick me out of the country." said Julia Fuentes, a mother of three. Martin Doblochek agreed, "EA is a wonderful company. Whatever they do is right. Now, can I have my passport back please?"
