After 3 years , the first couple ever to be married in World of Warcraft filed for divorce earlier this week. John 'HammerThorious' Watkins and Kristen 'Lady Tweenafife' Watkins were the first ever couple to have an in-game wedding on the popular MMORPG. The couple never met in real life and comunicated only through the in-game chat menu.
'At first, It was great. We'd quest together for hours, killing monsters and collecting gold,' said HammerThorious. 'But after a few years, the magic sort of left. Literally. She switched from being a magic weilding elf to a warrior class who only had melee weapons. Thats not the woman I married. It was so much harder leveling up with someone who has no spells'.
Lady Tweenafife sites a different reason for the divorce. 'He didnt think I knew he was going on quests with that gold farming faery slut, Zinfidel! When I saw him he'd have 3 extra riding turtles in his inventory. He didn't get those items questing with me. Then I'd get PMs from MySpace friends saying they saw him killing a dragon with some low level elf bitch. Thats when I filed for divorce.'
The court awarded Lady Tweenafife alimony of 2500 gold pieces a month and an additional 500 gold pieces for child support of their 4 pet dragonlings.
