2ksports.jpgWith disappointing sales of All Pro Football 2k8, developer 2k Sports has decided to try a different approach for its next football games installment. "If you want to find the best atheletes in the world, you can't limit yourself to just looking on the field. These days the US Justice system is the ultimate scouting report. ", stated Trevor Walters, head of new development at 2k Sports. "If you want a running back who can cut and slice his way through a group of defenders, OJ Simpson is your man. When you need a QB with the ferocity of a pitbull, you gotta go with Micheal Vick. And when Rae Carruth tells you to give up the ball, you better give up the ball. Thats the level of competition we're going to bring to AFF2k9."

Unlike some titles which remove players that have been convicted of a crime from their rosters. All Felon Football 2k9 will only feature players that have been charged with felony offenses. Walters explained, "We only want the top notch player/criminals in our game. Misdemeanor drug possesion won't even get you on the bench. We just did a mocap session with Nate Newton, that guy got caught with 175 pounds of weed in his car. Thats the kind of can-do spirit it'll take to make it in the next generation of sports gaming."

2k Sports have yet to officially announce who will be on the cover of AFF2k9, but when asked, the company PR rep responded, "It's a toss up between Vick and Simpson. Vick has more buzz right now, but we're afraid to say no to OJ."
